Mastercard’s Stablecoin Push: TradFi Meets DeFi
Mastercard is integrating stablecoin payments, bridging traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi). This move allows stablecoin spending at over 150 million Mastercard locations globally, partnering with major crypto firms like Kraken, MetaMask, Gemini, Crypto.com, and Binance. Users can earn rewards and withdraw stablecoins via Mastercard Move. Further partnerships include OKX for the OKX Card and collaborations with Nuvei and Circle for $USDC merchant payments. JPMorgan Chase and Standard Chartered are now connected to Mastercard’s Multi-Token Network (MTN), enabling faster stablecoin transactions. Mastercard also offers ‘Mastercard Crypto Credential’ for simplified digital asset transfers. Simultaneously, Best Wallet, an anonymous crypto wallet, is launching its Best Card, enabling crypto spending wherever Mastercard is accepted. The Best Card integrates with Best Wallet’s non-custodial wallet, supporting 1000+ digital assets, cross-chain swaps, and Fireblocks security. Holding the $BEST token offers cashback, reduced fees, presale access, and high staking APY (currently 126%). The $BEST presale has raised over $11.8 million, with the token price projected to reach $0.072. While offering significant opportunities, investing in crypto carries inherent risks. Users should conduct thorough research before investing and only invest what they can afford to lose.
